So I just bought Madden '10 and I put it in the dvd drive, and nothing happens. My dashboard doesn't show up with the game and all I get the option of doing is opening the tray or closing the tray.
There are no red lights or anything unusual, it just seems like the game just sits in the tray. Any idea what the deal is?
I had this happen to me the other day. It's not turning on because the F_Capacitor is a little too hot. What you have to do is wrap foil around it and put it into the refrigerator for 15 minutes. Then thaw it out to room temperature.

It was in my car for 10 days while I was moving out of my apartment and into a house. Now it's been sitting on my entertainment center since Saturday. I haven't turned it on until I tried playing Madden earlier today and realized it wasn't working.
The system turns on fine. It just isn't doing anything with the disc.

It won't read the game. It acts as though the tray is empty. I'm thinking the dvd drive isn't working or isn't taking the game from the tray or something.

You could try a lens cleaner but honestly man, it could be a hundred different things. If it's still under warranty you should replace it/get it fixed.
Then when **** hits the fan you come running back to us like a street hooker you used to sleep with but got married and cut ties with, now going through a divorce you want the goods again.

seriously though 1-800-4my-xbox you probably need a new dvd drive.
