I'm really struggling to access the site - is everyone else having the same problem? A lack of reply indicates either (i) yes or (ii) you don't care (iii) you no longer come here...

So the Ghost Town of Xbox365 is now even more dead.
Really kind of shame, this place used to be so.....active.
And I have not had any problems accessing the site but I've only tried for the past.....day, so.....,
I've had a lot of trouble accessing the site for the past couple of weeks from home, yet can get on at work. Very odd indeed. At home it always throws up a page of Yahoo Suggestions as the site cannot be found.
I wonder if this could be a browser thing. I use IE at work and Flock (FF) at home.

Same.... But i'm sure next time I try it will **** up again :'(

naw, this site was my junior high and high school years. I sift thru dead threads sometimes and can really remember what i was doing in my life at the time of many of the threads.
Some of my favorite moments was:
1. The race me and Rinn had to 10,000 posts. We actually did it legitimately by posting real replys in any and all threads that were going on that day (back then was hundreds).
2. My mini war with DAMASTER! That dude was such an idiot, i just loved getting his blood going.
3. The bloodpack/X365 comic book. It was stone cold retarded, but funny. I still got some of the frames on an old desktop in the attic.
4. Triforce and Strong in the Force. The greatest trolls that ever existed. Gave me months of fun and heated debated/nonsense.
5. All the people who thought Tyjeda was the girl in his sig, wayyyy funnier then all the people who truly thought Rinn was a girl.
6. The Halo deathmatches in Prisoner we had on that XBOX Connect or whatever software. Laggy as crap, but always monsterously funny. I dont know what made it funnier, all the deaths that made no sense or the fact that we couldnt talk to each other until the fight was done.
7. When I got banned from XBOX365 for talking back to Paul and was on TeamXBOX.com for like 3 days before Paul lifted the ban.
I know its just a web forum for a lot of people, but i truly had some great memories here. And while I dont need the site to be up in order to remember them, its nice to have it around. Its like finding an old picture album you had made a long time ago, then put away in a box like all picture albums go only to find it again while throwing **** out thats in the attic.
And I know that some key posters here (who share similar post counts to my own) dont come back ever or really care about this place because they were in dark times of their lives or whatever and think they wasted their youth playing video games and sitting inside - I didnt have that childhood at all. I had friends, girlfriends, but while many friends came and went, and many girlfriends were great and then sucked ... video games never left as a big hobby of mine.
I dont play video games much anymore (except EVE Online from time to time) because of other responsibilities i have (wife, kid, etc) i still load up old Dreamcast games and Gameboy DS games from time to time ...
PS: **** XBOX ... MS wouldnt fix my busted up 360.
Nice post TI, some good memories there and kind of sums up my experience here.
I'm mostly thankful that the iPhone allows me to still fit visiting this site into my life. I'm also kind of glad it hasn't been mega busy here for a while, because it's so much easier to be involved in all the threads and share in the x365 experience completely - admittedly that experience is pretty shallow at the moment.
Seriously, if we got some motivation and regular news posters this place could be big again. I will categorically state that I would happily help redesign the place and give a virtual lick of paint.
quote:Originally posted by Blackmath: dude I told you how to fix it. it's really very simple. if you have ever in your life attached a HSF to a CPU then you can fix your 360.
Its beyond repair. Ive tried fixing it and i even brought it to an electronics repair store. My mom got me one for my birthday though, so i have one again - she must have heard me bitching about it to my wife when we visited her recently.
