What's this I'm reading? Not Spirits within, but a new FF7 movie due out in the summer of next year. Or is it just a big joke?

Here is a link to the trailer, and though it's not a great quality trailer, it certainly looks more like what we should have had the first time round.

it's not a joke. square was thinking about making the sequel to FF7, "Advent Children" or something, a game, but decided to make it a cg movie instead

I didn't dislike it as such, but I couldn't see why it had the Final Fantasy tag. This one looks much more promising.

Yeah IGN said it was a movie as well. I loved FFSW.

After watching the Trailer it just looks like they redid the graphics to the original FF7 cut sceens.

well there has been something of the same name copyrighted with
the word playstation portable in it on a ton of japanese sites
so maybe a movie and a game are comeing out. that would be a cool
dual launch would it not?

Supposedly Square is calling it an 'interactive movie' though they wont give any hard details on it. I actually have a really good copy of the video if anyone is able to host it so you guys can see it. The CG is amazing in it, better than Spirits Within, better than FFX even. The best I've seen IMO. Has the 'One Winged Angel' song I believe playing in the background....

I told Rinn bout this like a week ago, didnt know how many would be into it here overall. But yeah....lemme know, I got a great copy.

This movie is going to rock [Big Grin]
Only thing is the last screen of the Trailer is of FF7 the game.
